Affection /əˈfɛkʃ(ə)n/



A gentle feeling of fondness or liking. Affection is not equal to love /lʌv/. They are not the same thing, but they are related. Rooted in warmth and familiarity. Fondness for friends, family or pets. Affection leads to appreciation. The pitfall is that it can become too familiar meaning you can start taking it for granted. When you take things for granted you stop being grateful for them. When affection disappears, tears apart couples that are not rooted in love. Be sure you are rooted in for love ❤️ 😉
